Tangentyere Family Violence Prevention Division 2025

Throughout 2025, the Tangentyere Family Violence Prevention Division delivered a comprehensive, community-led response to domestic, family, and sexual violence across Central Australia. The Division combined primary prevention, early intervention, specialist support, and workforce development to strengthen safety and wellbeing for women, children, young people, and families.
The Tangentyere Women’s Family Safety Group continued to provide cultural governance and lived-experience leadership across all programs, shaping resource development, training, research, and regional DFV processes. The Coolamon Program expanded its family-focused supports through Mums and Bubs, fathering groups, and community workshops, engaging more than 150 participants and building strengths-based parenting and relationship skills. Future Yayes strengthened youth leadership through weekly sessions, partnerships, and national-level visibility.
The Men’s Behaviour Change Program delivered over 500 hours of client work, 131 groups, and key safety initiatives including the Co-Responder pilot and the development of the Men’s Family Safety Group Strategic Plan. Step Up! Respect trained more than 130 influencers and continued building a Territory-wide consent education campaign. The Domestic Violence Specialist Children’s Service expanded case management and group work, supporting young people to build safety and healthy relationship skills.
